Nancy’s Classroom
You clean our dishes
You wash the floor
You do everything we need
And more.
You clean our clothes
You bathe the pup
You look up at the clock
And your day is up.
You pick us up
When we need a ride
And it’s safe to say
You’re always by our side.
You comfort us when were sick
You help us when were stuck
You’re like a heads up penny,
Who never runs out of luck.
You think about us
And never yourself
You prove to us
You’re unlike anyone else.
Not a word of complaint
Comes from your mouth
It’s like you store it away
And keep it to yourself.
Being the teacher you are
You taught me to live
The most important lesson
There is to give.
You have all the answers
And you watch us grow
You give us hope
Proving there’s always more to know.
You keep no secrets
You tell no lies
You are my guardian angel
In disguise.
The worst may happen
But you’re always there
Comforting and loving
Showing you care.
The struggles in life
Are dust to you
Never in defeat
Always paying your dues.
The kiss-kiss
You give me
Is a special thing we do,
Just between me and you.
Sleep is not an option
It’s true you don’t
It’s on the little room sofa
Where you rest about.
Your title is mother
You go by mom
You feel so right
When you’re in my arm.
We tease, we laugh,
A lot its true-
We joke, we cry,
It’s just what we do.
So much go unmentioned
You live your life for us
Were your family forever
You’re stuck with us
We’re blessed to have
A mom like you
You’re our leader, having a say
In everything we do.
You’re one of a kind
It’s true you see,
That’s just the way you are
And that’s all there is to be.
